Responsibilities
Independent Contract Counselors will be responsible for:
- Providing individual, couples, family, and/or other counseling services within their scope of practice
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Managing their schedule and caseload responsibly
- Following applicable professional, ethical, and licensing requirements
- Maintaining appropriate communication regarding scheduling, documentation, and client needs
- Providing professional, client-centered care
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with applicable privacy requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Louisiana license or credential permitting independent provision of behavioral health services within the contractor's scope of practice
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently
- Commitment to ethical and professional practice
- Dependability and timely completion of documentation
Preferred:
- Experience providing outpatient behavioral health services
- Experience working with diverse client populations
- Interest in building or expanding an ongoing counseling caseload
