The Eye Clinic, Inc is a private practice serving our community for over 50 years. We take great pride in providing the highest quality patient care. We're seeking a receptionist to join our team. Starting wage is based on relevant skills and experience.
Preferred candidates will have at least 6 months of patient facing experience in a medical office setting or equivalent in customer service. The position requires a positive, friendly, helpful demeanor and a desire to be an advocate for our patients. Candidates must possess professional phone etiquette skills, computer literacy, and the ability to efficiently multi-task. Experience in medical billing is a plus! Only serious applicants who are willing and able to meet the commitment of being a full-time team member should apply. Good attendance and punctuality, as well as the ability to learn and adapt are crucial to this role. Qualified candidates must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation as some travel between offices is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answering multiple phone lines
- Greeting patients
- Registering patients
- Scheduling appointments
- Triaging patient calls
- Obtaining insurance verification and eligibility
- Navigation within EMR
