Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces to uphold food safety standards
- Support the culinary team in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow food handling procedures meticulously to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
- Collaborate with kitchen staff through clear communication to coordinate meal preparation and service flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Experience with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department operations is a plus
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and recipe adherence
