Leadership Consultant, Customer Team

We are looking for a Leadership Consultant to join our Customer Team, supporting senior leadership development engagements with some of the most iconic companies in the world. This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates both a passion for cultivating trusted relationships and for managing the details of many overlapping priorities. We’re looking for a person who welcomes a new challenge, is contextually curious, and who thrives in complex delivery.

About The ExCo Group

The ExCo Group is a global leadership development and executive coaching firm that partners with CEOs, executive teams, and boards to build enterprise leadership capability. Our work is grounded in real-world experience — many of our mentors are former CEOs and senior operators — bringing practical, business-first insight to the leaders of the world’s most complex organizations. We work at the intersection of leadership and business performance, and the people on our team take that work seriously.

What You’ll Do

As a Leadership Consultant, you will own the end-to-end coordination and client experience across multiple customer accounts. Day to day, that means:

  • Serve as the trusted point of contact for customer stakeholders and internal partners
  • Run end-to-end process execution for 1:1 coaching engagements and coordinate with internal stakeholders on execution of assessment work
  • Translate ambiguous asks into structured plans and clear next steps, bringing order to complex, matrixed work
  • Proactively manage real-time record-keeping in Salesforce to ensure account health, engagement visibility, and accurate data
  • Create polished, client-ready materials in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and partner closely with contracts and finance teams
  • Communicate professionally with client stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating genuine curiosity about their organizational context
  • Demonstrate ownership of deliverables, timelines, and outcomes, with the judgment to know when to escalate

To Excel in This Role, You Will Demonstrate

  • Strong delivery quality: details matter here, and you hold yourself to a high standard
  • Clear, confident communication (both written and verbal) in front of client stakeholders and senior internal leaders
  • High ownership and follow-through: you close loops, meet deadlines, and can be counted on
  • The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple active engagements with composure and focus
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with genuine curiosity about the work and the clients we serve
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, dynamic environment

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2–4 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the Office Suite
  • 2 days in office each week in Arlington, VA

Why This Role

  • Work with globally recognized organizations at the intersection of leadership and business performance
  • A highly collaborative, energized team where your contributions are visible and valued
  • Real responsibility, real growth path, real client impact from day one
  • Direct exposure to senior executives, former CEOs, and top business leaders across industries
