We are seeking a skilled Inside Sales Professional to join our team. The duties and responsibilities vary greatly each day of the week. This position would be a perfect fit for someone who is a quick learner, adaptable and curious.
Sales Duties
- Solicit and service commercial display and classified line advertising accounts through phone, email, text, and other communication channels. The goal is to build strong, lasting client relationships.
- Sell advertising space across all four editions of The Exchange, working to meet and exceed weekly and monthly revenue targets.
- Prepare professional advertising proposals and sales campaigns in a timely manner, tailored to each client's goals and budget.
- Develop customized advertising plans for seasonal customers, helping them maximize exposure during key promotional periods.
- Track weekly sales performance and activity metrics; consistently work to maintain and grow revenue across your account portfolio.
Lead Generation
- Proactively identify new advertising prospects through research, referrals, community involvement, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Make outbound contact with potential clients via phone, email, and other channels to introduce The Exchange and its advertising opportunities.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective accounts, following up consistently to convert leads into long-term customers.
Customer Service Duties
- Serve as a point of contact for existing advertisers, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Book ad placements accurately, process payments, and ensure all customer information and ads are entered correctly.
- Resolve customer concerns and issues with a calm, solution-focused approach.
- Collaborate with front office staff to assist with incoming calls and walk-in customers, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all.
Experience/Skills:
- College degree in business or related field preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of sales process and dynamics.
- Adaptability to an ever changing environment & be able to multi-task.
Pay/Benefits
- Hourly pay plus uncapped commission.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance available after 3 months full time.

Pay: $40,000 - $60,000 per year
