Assistant Property Management - Bergen County, NJ

Title: Private Estate Assistant Property Manager
Location: Alpine, NJ
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00-6:00 w/ flex needed for weeknights, weekends and holidays
Compensation: Salary $90,000 - 110,000 DOE discretionary performance-based year-end bonus 100% covered M/D/V 401(k) with match 15 days PTO
 
Overview: This position is for a hardworking candidate with a "can-do" attitude.  The candidate would ideally have a background and/or knowledge of vendor management, carpentry, plumbing or HVAC.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Assist in managing all functions and systems of the property
• Ice rink maintenance including running a Zamboni
• Knowledge of bowling alley maintenance and other special equipment
• General repairs as needed
• Perform routine inspections of the property to check for maintenance and system problems
• Lock/open property at the beginning and end of each day or as directed by Principals
• Greet and oversee workers and vendors
• Perform and oversee routine and scheduled maintenance of property including but not limited to: painting, garbage removal, assisting groundskeeper, outdoor cleaning, and other house systems
• Manage package deliveries (incoming and outgoing), mail pick-up and distribution
• Respond to emergency calls

 
REQUIREMENTS:
 

• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing private estates full time for one family
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.  Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and composed during demanding periods - "thick skinned" personality with a real sense of urgency
• Proactive, motivated and "can do" attitude
• Willingness to go above and beyond
• Committed, mature and hard-working
• Heavy lifting
• Resides in Northern New Jersey area
• Valid Driver's License
• Comfortable working in a home that includes children and pets
