Position Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Investment Associate with a strong credit background to join their investment team. This role will focus on evaluating, executing, and monitoring credit investments across a range of industries. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deal-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis, including financial statement review, cash flow modeling, and capital structure evaluation
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess investment opportunities
- Perform due diligence on prospective investments, including industry research and competitive analysis
- Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee
- Monitor existing portfolio investments, including performance tracking and risk assessment
- Analyze covenant compliance, liquidity positions, and credit metrics
- Assist in structuring transactions, including debt terms, pricing, and documentation review
- Collaborate with senior team members on deal execution and portfolio management
- Stay current on market trends, credit conditions, and macroeconomic developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, leveraged finance, investment banking, private credit, or related fields
- Strong understanding of fixed income and credit markets
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
- Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
