Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications supporting defense customers
- Translate customer requirements into technical designs and working features
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews
- Integrate software with databases, services, and external systems
- Troubleshoot defects and improve performance and reliability
- Document designs, interfaces, and release procedures
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team best practices
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- Several years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in languages such as C#, Java, Python, or C
- Experience with relational databases and web application development
- Familiarity with Agile methods and version control such as Git
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- Active DoD security clearance
- Experience supporting Navy or other DoD programs
- Cloud, container, or DevSecOps experience
- Front-end framework experience such as Angular or React
- Security or similar DoD 8570 certification
- Pay: $90,220 – $145,000 per year
