Program Coach (Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball)
OUR ORGANIZATION
The Edge is a 501c3, non-profit “Business as Ministry” of Destiny Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. We operate a 54,000 square feet facility that offers programs in sports and the arts, as well as partnering with organizations ranging from recreational groups to professional teams for rental space and events. The facility also serves as the home of Destiny Church for its worship services and ministry activities.

THE POSITION
We are seeking highly motivated Coaches to join our Programming Team. This role will be responsible for the planning, implementing, and evaluating program sessions. “Programs” include weekly practices, clinics, camps, and leagues. Reports to the Program Director.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and facilitation of soccer practices, clinics, leagues, clinics, and summer camps.
- Assist in field setup, equipment management, and training organization.
- Facilitate drills and technical skill development for youth.
- Model and teach values such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and Christlike leadership.
- Use approved whole-life coaching models (e.g., value-based coaching programs) to share biblical truths through soccer.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Program Director
- Conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation of program performance and implement program changes and/or enhancements as needed
- Provide assistance and creativity for the improvement and development of existing programs and the development of new innovative programs to better meet the needs of athletes the community.
- Assist with marketing and communication efforts to maximize registrations and program participation
- Other duties as assigned.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- A passion for volleyball/soccer/basketball (prior high school or college participation as a player or coach preferred).
- Sports-related certification(s) a plus.
- Ability to organize and manage athletes and equipment for practices.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong attention to details.
- Called to serve in this role in fulfilling the mission, vision and strategy of Destiny
Church and its related entities - The Edge Sports & Arts Academy and Destiny Holdings, LLC.
- In agreement with the doctrine, mission, vision, values and strategy of Destiny Church.
THE ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is energetic, active and friendly. It is a 54,000 square foot office setting and sports facility with courts, indoor turf, and meeting spaces.
THE COMPENSATION
- Hourly rate commensurate with experience and responsibility.
THE ETC:
- Able to work evenings and weekends.
- Applicants will be subjected to background checks and possible drug testing.
