Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily classroom activities, fostering positive relationships with students, and helping to implement educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students. Ideal candidates will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children, including those with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities.
- Support the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through engaging interactions.
- Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Monitor and document children's progress, behavior, and development.
- Collaborate with teachers to create individualized learning plans for students with special needs.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
- Participate in classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior among students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Experience or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
- Previous experience working with children in daycare or classroom settings is highly desirable.
- Understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies for working with children with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their growth and development.
