Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Floater to join our educational team. The Floater will play a crucial role in supporting various classrooms and programs, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about childhood development and education, with a focus on fostering a nurturing and engaging environment for students.
Hours
- Work hours will be ~ 12pm-6pm
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans across different age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Provide individualized support to students in areas such as literacy education and math.
- Engage in behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
- Facilitate small group activities to enhance learning outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with both children and staff to maintain a collaborative atmosphere.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support daycare operations by helping with daily routines, including snack time, playtime, and transitions between activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assist in closing responsibilities at the end of the day.
Required:
- 30 Hour Stars Basic Training
- Background Check
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- CPR & First Aid
- Sleep Safe
- Food Handlers permit
Highly Recommended:
- Experience in early childhood education
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
- Flexibility to work in various classrooms as needed throughout the day.
