Title: Community Care Coordinator (AmeriCorps Member)

Position Summary:
The Community Care Coordinator AmeriCorps Member will serve as a vital connector between youth, families, site staff, and DREAM - Philly leadership. The Member will support afterschool programming at an assigned site (or sites) by ensuring smooth daily operations, strengthening family and community engagement, and fostering positive youth development. Through this service, the Member will help DREAM - Philly create a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment where youth can thrive.
Essential Service Activities:

- Site Support & Coordination
- Serve on-site during afterschool programming to ensure daily activities run smoothly.
- Support Afterschool Enrichment Coordinators with logistics, attendance tracking, and activity facilitation.
- Maintain an environment that is welcoming, organized, and safe for youth.

- Community & Family Engagement
- Build relationships with families, caregivers, and community members to strengthen ties between DREAM and the local community.
- Serve as a liaison to connect families with DREAM resources, events, and opportunities.
- Support DREAM’s mission to provide inclusive, family-centered enrichment.

- Youth Development & Mentorship
- Foster consistent, positive mentoring relationships with youth during program hours.
- Model DREAM’s values of respect, creativity, and equity in all interactions.
- Support youth leadership and elevate youth voice by encouraging feedback and participation in program planning.

- Communication & Leadership Support
- Serve as a connector between site staff, Youth Service Managers, and DREAM leadership by sharing updates and site needs.
- Participate in DREAM team meetings, trainings, and AmeriCorps professional development.
- Document service activities and contribute to reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
- Commitment to national service and the mission of DREAM.
- Passion for serving youth and families in community-based settings.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to serve as part of a collaborative team and adapt to changing needs.
- Previous experience in youth development, mentoring, or community engagement (preferred but not required).
