What are the responsibilities and job description for the Window Treatment Installer position at The Drapery Company?
As a member of our install team, you will:
- Travel to residential and commercial sites to install shades, blinds, shutters, drapery, and other window treatments
- Show extreme attention to detail and care for our customer's property
- Provide a white glove service to our customers
- Use our company sprinter van
- Communicate with the design consultants, vendors, and the office to resolve any issues during the install
- Demonstrate products you install to our customers
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be able to use hand and power tools (e.g. hand drill)
- Motorization, programming, low voltage wiring skills a plus
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Must be able to climb interior scaffolding up to 18 feet with safety rails
- Must be able to climb up and down a 6' and 8' ladder
- Basic math, calculation and computer skills.
- Must present a positive, professional, and courteous customer service image
- Mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational and communication skills
- Prior carpentry, handyman, or window covering installation is preferred
Job requirements:
- Current and valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Punctual and reliable
Education requirements:
- Minimum high school degree or equivalent

- Salary packages starting at $20 per hour for limited experience, and up to $60k yearly (including overtime) for top level installers. Salary is based on experience.
