Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to support our licensed SLPs in delivering high-quality, engaging therapy services. The ideal candidate enjoys working with clients in a dynamic, creative environment and is excited to incorporate play-based and drama-inspired techniques into therapy. Specifically looking for individuals interested in teaching classes with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide direct therapy services to clients under SLP supervision
- Use creative approaches such as play, storytelling, and role-playing to enhance engagement
- Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities
- Collect and document client data on performance and progress
- Maintain accurate and timely session notes and records
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP regarding client progress and adjustments to therapy
- Support a positive, inclusive, and motivating therapy environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
- Completion of required SLP-A training/clinical hours per state regulations
- Current state licensure or registration (if required)
- Understanding of basic speech and language disorders and therapy techniques
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under supervision
