Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS Toast
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting stations
- Assist with food handling and preparation when needed to support kitchen operation
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of beverage options, wine pairings, and cocktail recipes to educate guests and enhance their experience
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed diligently to uphold health standards
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving concerns professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Toast -will train
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that fosters guest loyalty
- Basic math skills for bill calculation and payment processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Experience with food handling, serving, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen or host/hostess duties as needed
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest relations and service excellence
