Indrotec is seeking a Part-Time Nutrition Services Supervisor III (Float) to provide daily leadership and oversight of kitchen operations, including food preparation, meal service, ordering and receiving, sanitation, and staff supervision.

Duties and Responsibilties
- Direct and supervise the work of Nutrition Services staff across multiple school locations
- Coordinate preparation and service of breakfast and lunch items to meet student dietary needs
- Ensure meals are wholesome, appealing, properly portioned, and served in a sanitary manner
- Set up food counters and serving areas to support efficient and attractive meal service
- Order food and supplies from multiple vendors and the production kitchen
- Inspect deliveries to confirm correct items and quantities
- Support routine catering requests and ensure orders are accurate and timely
- Prepare bank deposits and related reports; act as cashier as needed
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety for staff, equipment, and workspaces
- Operate institutional kitchen equipment and ensure it is used safely
Supervision Exercised:
- Provides direct technical and administrative supervision over multiple Nutrition Services Assistants and/or Helpers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in culinary arts, dietetics, or a related field
- Two years of college coursework in nutrition or a related field
- Two years of supervisory experience in food preparation in a school cafeteria, restaurant, or similar food service environment
- High school diploma or GED and four years of supervisory experience in food preparation in a school cafeteria, restaurant, or similar food service environment
Certification Requirement
- Minnesota Department of Health Food Manager Certification is required within 3 months of appointment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety and safe food storage practices
- Working knowledge of basic nutrition and how preparation impacts nutritional value
- Ability to prepare foods for serving and support staff as needed
- Ability to operate and maintain institutional kitchen equipment
- Ability to manage cash handling, daily sales, and reporting
- Ability to multitask under tight time limits
- Strong math skills for ordering, portions, and reporting
- Ability to communicate firmly and courteously with staff and cafeteria patrons
- Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate the work of others
Benefits
- Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines.
