What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Coordinator position at The Dolphin Group?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator I to support production of minimally invasive heart devices at our Minnetonka site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy and timely delivery of materials to production lines.
You will work primarily in a regulated clean room environment supporting medical device manufacturing for Abbott, with additional responsibilities in the warehouse managing material flow.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform kitting of production orders in a clean room environment.
- Complete inventory transactions and material movements using SAP.
- Ensure materials are delivered to production lines on schedule.
- Coordinate material transfers between the warehouse and production areas.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Follow all regulated manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
- Support warehouse operations as needed.
Work Environment
- 65%–75% of work performed in the clean room.
- Remaining time spent in the warehouse transferring and handling materials.
- Clean room PPE required: gown, hairnet, beard net (if applicable), shoe covers, gloves, and safety glasses (mask optional).
- Safety shoes required for warehouse tasks involving equipment.
- All PPE is provided.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow established procedures within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working in both clean room and warehouse settings.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Experience with SAP or other inventory systems preferred (but not required).
- Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, or medical device production is a plus.
Benefits: Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines.
