Join the Saint Paul Public Schools Nutrition Services team and help prepare nutritious meals for students across the district. As a Food Production Worker, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that ensures every student receives healthy, high-quality meals in a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and portion food items according to recipes and menus
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in all work areas
- Assist with setup and cleanup of production areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow production schedules and supervisor directions
- Support meal packaging
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow instructions
- Comfortable with physical work in a fast-paced environment
- Prior food handling experience preferred—but not required!
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety practices
Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 25 lbs frequently; occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Push/pull up to 75 lbs
- Stand for long periods of time
Schedule
- Full-Time Monday–Friday daytime hours 6-2:30
- No weekends or holidays!
- Weekly pay $17/hr
Benefits: Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines. Earned Sick and Safe time is accrued and can be used per the State of MN guidelines.
