Host Lounge Attendant - Dollywood's DreamMore Resort & Spa - Full Time Year Round

The Host Lounge Food Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional dining experience for fellow hosts, by delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming lounge environment. This role ensures dining tables remain clean and presentable, food stations are fully stocked and replenished, and all food is handled in accordance with established food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and company policies. The Host Lounge Attendant works collaboratively with fellow team members to create a positive, efficient, and hospitable atmosphere while consistently meeting service and operational expectations.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Stocks and presents food/beverage items to standard
• Inspects dining room for cleanliness, proper supply levels
• Orders/requisitions food and supplies through Cook /sous chef
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
• Practices service standards and current training throughout service
• Stocks salad bar items for next shift
• Labels and dates all products
• Refreshes hot line and cold line food as needed
• Records temperatures on time according to the temperature log
• Records a count of food each hour and relays to the cook or sous chef if more food is needed
• Sanitizes tables and chairs after guests leave
• Delivers plates and silverware, pans, utensils on hourly basis to dish area
• Maintains dining room organization throughout the shift by straightening chairs and tables
• Ensures napkin dispensers and salt / pepper shakers are filled throughout the shift
• Maintains cleanliness of hot and cold service lines and counters throughout the shift
• Keeps ice machine full for drinks
• Sweeps and Mops area at end of shift

Education and Experience Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain a food handler certification
• Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of onboarding process which includes background screening and pre-employment drug screening

• Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methods 
• Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects ahead of schedule, fostering open communication and mutual support to achieve shared goals

• Able to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests
• Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities

Physical Requirements | Environmental Conditions

• Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
• Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours
• Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
• Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat
• Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved communication methods
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job
