Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Farm Help to join our dynamic team, specializing in caring for horses, colts, dogs, and puppies. This role is perfect for someone passionate about animal husbandry and farm operations, with a strong background in handling and caring for a variety of animals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to the daily maintenance and management of our farm’s livestock and facilities. Your expertise will ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our animals while supporting efficient farm operations.
Duties
- Provide expert care for horses, including feeding, grooming, exercising, and monitoring health status.
- Handle young animals such as colts and puppies with patience and skill, ensuring proper socialization and development.
- Assist with farm chores such as cleaning dog and cat areas in house, stalls, buildings in and out, repairing simple fencing, and maintaining animal enclosures, weed spraying/pulling.. etc
- Manage animal handling activities with a focus on safety for both animals and staff; supervise other team members when necessary.
- Proven experience working with horses, colts, dogs, puppies, and other farm animals; must be able to demonstrate animal husbandry skills.
- Must be able to follow direction, be reliable and dependable, and work alone. Must be AWARE, and OBSERVE.
- Strong understanding of animal care practices including cleaning/disinfecting, feeding routines, health monitoring, grooming and handling techniques.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
