About The Role
The Business Development Associate is a revenue-focused role responsible for driving membership growth and sponsorship opportunities across priority sectors.
This individual will own pipeline development within assigned industries, manage relationships with prospective members and partners, and help convert opportunities into long-term revenue.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective members and sponsors across assigned sectors.
- Conduct outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, referrals, conferences, and strategic networking.
- Own the early-to-mid sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery calls, qualification, follow-up, and opportunity advancement.
- Present The Digital Chamber’s membership value proposition clearly and confidently to prospective organizations.
- Support proposal development, pricing discussions, and closing efforts on qualified opportunities.
- Partner with senior leadership on priority accounts and enterprise-level opportunities.
- Attend select conferences and meetings to generate pipeline, build relationships, and support revenue opportunities.
- Convert event-generated leads into active opportunities through timely follow-up.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, notes, and forecasting within CRM.
- Provide weekly updates on pipeline health, conversion activity, and key opportunities.
- Help improve outbound processes, sales materials, and growth systems over time.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, membership sales, sponsorship sales, or related commercial roles.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build relationships, and move opportunities through a sales process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional executive presence.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong commercial instincts and motivation to grow revenue.
- Willingness to travel for conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Preferred
- Experience in associations, media, events, fintech, SaaS, financial services, or emerging technology sectors.
- Familiarity with blockchain, digital assets, fintech, or public policy environments.
- CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Experience working directly with executives or senior external stakeholders.

- This is a full-time, hybrid role. We are in the office Tuesday-Thursday.
- 15 days of PTO, 5 paid sick days, and paid holidays including federal holidays, extended Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, Thanksgiving and the following Friday, and a Winter Break from December 24–January 1.
