Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Associate based in Reston, VA, with flexibility for remote work.
The Business Development Associate will act as the first point of contact for prospective clients, coordinate meetings and proposals, and support Verbsz’s growth initiatives. You will work closely with the marketing and delivery teams to ensure smooth client communications, accurate lead tracking, and effective project coordination. This role is ideal for an early-career professional eager to gain hands-on experience in business development, client engagement, and marketing operations within a fast-growing digital agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for inbound leads and prospects via calls and emails.
- Coordinate introductory meetings, presentations, and follow-up communications.
- Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and client engagement materials.
- Maintain accurate lead and activity tracking in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on client opportunities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support client onboarding and maintain consistent communication throughout projects.
- Track campaign performance and assist with client update reports.
- Research new channels, partnerships, and platforms to enhance lead visibility and inbound opportunities.
- Contribute ideas and insights to strengthen outreach and business development strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in marketing coordination, client service, or agency work.
- Strong presentation skills and experience creating client-facing materials.
- Lead generation and market research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a confident, client-facing presence.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Eagerness to learn about digital marketing and client management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- U.S. work authorization (W-2 employment).
