Role Description The Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, NV. The person in this role will engage customers on the showroom floor, providing knowledgeable guidance on diamonds, engagement rings, and fine jewelry to support an exceptional purchasing experience. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers, assessing needs, presenting product options, explaining guarantees and warranties, and processing sales and returns accurately. The Sales Associate will maintain merchandising standards, ensure the cleanliness and security of displays, and assist with inventory counts. The role also involves learning product details, staying current on promotions, collaborating with team members to meet sales goals, and delivering service aligned with The Diamond Store’s ethical and customer-focused values.
Qualifications
- Customer service and client-facing skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Sales and retail skills such as consultative selling, upselling, closing techniques, and comfort working toward individual and team targets.
- Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, professional written communication for customer follow-up, and confident in-person presentation.
- Organizational and operational skills, such as basic POS and computer proficiency, cash-handling accuracy, and attention to detail with documentation and inventory.
- Ability to learn and explain technical product information, including diamond grading basics (cut, color, clarity, carat) and jewelry materials and care.
- Strong reliability and professionalism, with the ability to work a flexible full-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
