This position will assist with the recruitment and retention of employees in Milwaukee County. Primary responsibilities include: • Posting jobs, advertising jobs and hosting job fairs. • Reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and completing required background (initial and ongoing) and reference checks. • Completing new employee onboarding paperwork, benefit enrollment, and orientation. • Scheduling employee training (for both new hires and on-going employees) and maintaining training records. • Creating and maintaining new hire folders and benefit information ensuring current and accurate forms and policies.
Requirements

- Occasional scheduling of pre-screens & communication with candidates
- Coordinate new employee Onboarding
- Conduct new employee orientation as needed
- Complete I-9 verification and coordinate with our corporate HR team, recruiters & office managers to maintain I9 compliance for new hires throughout multiple Tyler locations
- Create & distribute New Hire, Transfers, Supervisor Changes, and termination documents for internal use
- Update files through and ensure all paperwork is received including new hire paperwork; assist in occasional internal & external file audit requests
- Contribute to various team Ad Hoc projects
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Job Specific Qualifications:
- Proven associate relations experience and skills
- Associates degree, Bachelor’s preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR support role or related job experience
- Maintain a positive, team player attitude, while demonstrating strong, independent judgment
- Ability to enthusiastically work with and engage remote new hires, team members, staff and management through proactive, effective and responsive communication
- Dependable, analytical, detail oriented, and ability to keep information confidential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and applications or project software like Dropbox
- Strong decision making, and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and follow through while staying organized
- Build a positive relationship with employees, managers, and candidates
- Travel 0-5%
