As Elevator Operator, you'll support day-to-day facility operations. Day to day, you will:
- Safely dump and load grain trucks
- Keep the facility clean and organized with daily housekeeping and recordkeeping
- Observe and participate in grain handling operations
- Assist with mobile equipment operation
- Open and close railcar hopper gates and lids
- Inspect and document fall protection equipment
- Support digital documentation and permitting for specific operations
- Follow all safety training requirements and PPE policies
- Lend a hand with preventative maintenance and millwright tasks
- Take part in weekly safety training
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
- Basic computer skills to complete online training modules
- Strong communication skills with both customers and coworkers
- A safety-first mindset and willingness to speak up about unsafe practices
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and adverse conditions, including dusty environments
- Able to climb to the top grain leg platform and work safely within platform handrails
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort with basic math — percentages, decimals, multiplication
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Familiarity with the General Code of Operating Rules for railcar safety
