Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using advanced POS systems ensuring precise entry and timely communication with the kitchen.
- Recommend menu items, upsell specialty dishes and drinks to enhance the guest experience while increasing sales.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards and ensuring proper food handling and sanitation protocols.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, promptly addressing any concerns to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests when needed to maintain smooth service flow.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties and processing payments with POS systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments, demonstrating excellent guest service skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as serving, host/hostess duties, or bartending is preferred.
