Sr. Contract Administrator
Contract to Hire role located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Schedule: (9/80): Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay rate: $56/hr.
Job Summary:
The Sr. Contract Administrator is a mid-level role reporting to a Sr. Manager or Director of Contracts. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining contracts and subcontracts for a variety of products and services, spanning from proposal development to product/service delivery and contract closeout. The Sr. Contract Administrator is skilled in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer interactions. The individual ensures contract fulfillment in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additionally, the Sr. Contract Administrator interprets contract terms and conditions and monitors performance to ensure all requirements and obligations are met.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Under the guidance of a Contract Manager, maintain contracts and subcontracts for various products and services from proposal development through delivery and contract closeout.
- Participate in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure contracts are fulfilled in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Advise management of contractual rights and obligations during negotiations and recommend actions to mitigate contract risks.
- Interpret contract terms and conditions and monitor performance against contract requirements and obligations.
- Review estimates of materials, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Perform essential functions including contractual correspondence, preparing narratives for contract changes, conducting negotiations, interpreting order requirements and agreements, providing billing support, maintaining contract files, and tracking all internal/external contractual obligations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge (Education/License/Certification, Prior Experience):
- Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of relevant functional experience.
- 5-10 years of industry experience.
- Experience with and understanding of international contracting, including compliance with ITAR and EAR.
- Experience in meeting Government Contract requirements for both the US Government as a Prime and as a subcontractor to the Prime.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong and effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver information concisely. Proven ability to write and edit business materials. A writing sample may be required.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and evaluate business risks.
- Knowledge of and experience with Government Contracting.
- Familiarity with Contract Terms and Conditions (FAR & DFAR).
- Negotiation skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as needed.
- Financial understanding of rate structures and pricing strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex contractual agreements.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Extensive organization and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Project, and Access is highly desirable.
- Candidate must be a US person.
- This position may require a Security Clearance.
