Job Duties
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will focus on gathering, documenting, and analyzing information to improve our UAM processes and systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Process Analysis: Assist in mapping and documenting current business processes within the UAM department to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Requirements Gathering: Help interview subject matter experts (SMEs) and end-users to accurately capture and document business and functional requirements for new tools or system enhancements.
- Data Support: Work with large datasets to assist in data quality checks, reporting, and analysis to support key business decisions.
- Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and training materials.
- Project Support: Support the Business Analyst team in planning, tracking, and reporting on small projects or phases of larger projects.
- Solution Testing: Participate in testing new software features or process changes to ensure they meet the documented business requirements.
Required:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for interacting with technical and non-technical staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or asset management concepts.
- Experience with process modeling tools.
