Summary:
The Capital Markets Senior Analyst is a knowledgeable and well diversified individual who can serve in multi-faceted roles to support the Capital Markets team. This role reports to the VP/Director of Capital Markets and will be expected to exhibit leadership abilities to other members of the team. Primary Duties:
- Support the VP/Director of Capital Markets the management of Dart Bank’s mortgage loan pipeline from initial lock through investor purchase. This includes but is not limited to report management, analytics, and reconciliation of both locked and held for sale loan pipelines.
- Responsible for coordinating and managing activities related to loan sales including but not limited to developing Best Execution analytics which complement Dart’s hedging platform to optimize execution gains and while maintaining adherence to investor guidelines and stipulations (i.e. rep mix, affordable targets, etc.), commitment management, and purchase advice reconciliation.
- Responsible for administration of Dart’s hedging and product/pricing engine systems. This includes but is not limited to management of business rules, products, field mappings, general system settings.
- Participate in new investor and product development initiatives. Responsible for updating systems to support proper pricing, valuation and salability of new products including but not limited to pricing analysis, systems testing, creation of commitment procedures, and coordinating with cross functional teams to support product implementation.
- Update existing or develop new reporting as needed. This includes analytical review of data for the purposes of maintaining data integrity, value attribution, as well as the identification and explanation of anomalies/variances.
- Create and maintain Competitive Insights to support profit margin recommendations.
- Maintain subject matter expertise of Dart’s pricing policies and lock desk procedures to mentor, train, troubleshoot, and back-up team members covering the mortgage division’s lock desks.
- Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of residential mortgage products, pricing tactics, segmentation, and analytical acumen.
- Experience with Loan Origination and Product/Pricing Engines. Direct experience with Encompass and Optimal Blue (preferred).
- Experience with hedging systems (QRM, Compass Point, Compass Edge, or Optimal Blue Secondary Services).
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field, or equivalent experience.
- Articulate and proficient in both written and verbal communication.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge reading/writing SQL and data visualization software experience (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education/Experience:
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of related professional experience in the mortgage banking industry.
- Previous work experience within the areas of pricing, hedging, loans sales, loan delivery, and best execution preferable.
