Reporting to the Investigations Editor, you’ll work on complex and often sensitive stories, using public records, interviews, data analysis, and confidential sources.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute investigative stories from pitch through publication
- Identify story angles, pursue leads, and conduct original reporting through interviews, records requests, document review, and data analysis
- Produce clear, accurate investigative articles for a broad audience
- Research and corroborate information using multiple independent sources
- Build and maintain on-the-record and confidential sources in accordance with ethical standards
- Maintain organized reporting files and documentation for editorial and legal review
- Work with editors and legal counsel to address legal, ethical, and reputational risk
- Collaborate with newsroom partners to develop investigative ideas and support reporting initiatives
- Background in journalism, investigative reporting, communications, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in investigative or enterprise reporting
- Strong research, interviewing, and source-development skills
- Ability to analyze complex documents, data, and public records
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy
- Sound editorial judgment and ethical decision-making
- Ability to manage long-term projects and meet demanding deadlines
