Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable person to deliver newspaper bundles to several designated drop points in southeastern and eastern Iowa in the early a.m. hours on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. These delivery routes work on an independent contractor basis and originate in Webster City, IA.
Responsibilities
- Load newspaper bundles in your vehicle in an organized manner.
- Make delivery drops per a manifest to correct locations and within established timelines for completion.
- Load and unload newspaper bundles using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or hand carts.
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns courteously.
Requirements
- Prior route delivery experience preferred.
- Driving in normal winter conditions and in the early morning, dark hours.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Cargo van or smaller box truck with insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently using mobile devices or route planning tools.
- Consistently meet timelines for deliveries.
Pay: From $500.00 per week
