Compensation:


Competitive base salary of $80,000–$90,000, plus a 10% annual bonus opportunity. We also provide a $400/month contribution toward medical insurance. Total compensation ranges from approximately $80,000-$103,800.

PURPOSE

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient execution of accounting processes. This position is responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits while providing financial insights to management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements for 20 restaurants in NetSuite, and intercompany transactions on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP to identify any reclasses or inaccuracies.
  • Assist with financial reporting and budgeting, providing variance analysis and financial insights.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage the accounts payable process on a weekly basis using NetSuite and other financial systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process invoices and ensure payments are completed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company procedures.
  • Oversee company expense reports, ensuring compliance with policies and timely reimbursement.
  • Manage vendor records, including maintaining accurate W-9 documentation and overseeing the preparation and filing of 1099s.
  • Support collection activities as needed, including following up on outstanding balances and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Train and support General Managers and operations teams on proper invoice submission and payment processes for their respective locations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff including but not limited to Directors, General Managers, Assistant General Managers, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience in technical accounting research and resolution
  • Experience with accounting software, must be proficient in NetSuite.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred.
  • 4 years of accounting experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment: This role is performed in a hybrid setting, with an expectation of approximately 75% in-office and 25% remote work.
