We are looking for a reliable and hardworking AM/PM Line Cook to prepare high-quality food while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining food quality and presentation, and supporting smooth kitchen operations. This position may work morning or evening shifts based on business needs. The ideal candidate will be dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and portion guidelines
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, peeling, and portioning as needed
- Cook food using a variety of kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, stovetops, and other cooking appliances
- Monitor food while cooking to ensure proper temperature, quality, consistency, and presentation
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to established standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Properly store, label, date, and rotate food and kitchen supplies
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs or shortages to management
- Assist with meal preparation, service, replenishment, and cleanup as needed
- Work efficiently with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
- Assist with opening or closing kitchen duties based on assigned shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Cook, or in a similar food service position preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, including grilling, baking, sautéing, boiling, and frying
- Comfortable using kitchen equipment, cookware, bakeware, and cutting tools
- Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established food preparation standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and dependable with strong attendance
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying
- Availability to work both morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Weekend availability is required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary education or training is a plus
Pay: $24.00 per hour
