What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Maintenance Supervisor position at The Crom Corporation?
Job Purpose:
The employee serves as a first-line supervisor, directing and coordinating regional equipment maintenance to provide complete equipment support for the shop and field operations. This position develops preventative measures to ensure the longevity of machinery while also diagnosing problems as they arise and providing solutions to difficult repair issues while complying with all safety protocols.
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
Equipment
- Manage the maintenance and repair of field equipment to ensure equipment remains in good working order before being returned to the field.
- Maintaining equipment spare parts inventory and order parts as needed.
- Conduct a final inspection for all equipment before loading transportation to a job site.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records for all equipment.
- Assist field superintendents with field equipment problems.
- Develop and maintain an equipment maintenance program including a preventative maintenance training program for Field Superintendents and crews.
- Produces work orders for schedule or unscheduled equipment maintenance
- Identifies needs and coordinates purchases of equipment for Regional Maintenance Shop.
- Active maintenance of a clean and orderly Maintenance Shop.
- Follows all DEP and OSHA regulations pertaining to hazardous materials and hazardous waste storage and handling.
- Weekly safety Inspection of Maintenance Shop.
- Supports the CROM Equipment Maintenance Manager with company programs such as budget, employee development, training, safety, quality control and cost control.
- Coordinate all purchases with Procurement and Accounting in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Train superintendents on the maintenance of equipment in the field.
- Reporting as required including weekly KPI reports.
Over-the-Road-Trailers (OTR)
- DOT inspection and paperwork on all OTR trailers once a year.
Managerial Duties
- Managerial duties include maintaining daily timesheets for Department.
- Supervises Regional Mechanics staff within company policy and procedures.
- Responsible for all hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations with support and active coordination with H/R.
- Assigning daily tasks.
- Perform Quarterly Performance Reviews for Team
Miscellaneous
- Monitor company vehicles to make sure routine maintenance is being performed.
- Observe all safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma or Equivalent
3-5 years of Equipment Maintenance and Mechanic Supervisory Experience
Other requirements:
Valid Driver's License Proficient in Microsoft Word Proficient in Microsoft Excel Ability to drive a forklift.
