Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote beverage sales.
- Manage multiple drink orders simultaneously using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest pairings to enhance guest satisfaction while staying within operational guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team for food and beverage pairing, especially during banquet or catering events.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Uphold responsible serving policies by recognizing signs of intoxication and managing guest safety accordingly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment, preferably within fine dining or upscale hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail techniques, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and brewing processes.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Experience in food handling, food safety standards, and basic math for accurate measurements and transactions.
- Previous bar management or supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
