What are the responsibilities and job description for the 911 TELECOMMUNICATOR position at The County of Adams?
The County of Adams is searching for a few people who can work in a fast pace environment who where they will be expected to use quick thinking and problem solving skills to those in need. This position acts as the control point for all communications and information for the police, fire, EMA, and EMS operations. Training is provided.
HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position in a 24-hour facility. Working days will vary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening (including a clear criminal history).
- Successful completion of Telecommunicator Trainee training program.
LICENSE(S) AND CERTIFICATIONS THAT WILL BE REQUIRED UPON HIRING:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate
- CLEAN Operator Certificate
- APCO Telecommunicator Training
- Emergency Medical Dispatch Training
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS100 and IS700
