THE JOB: As Executive Sous Chef at The Corner Store inside The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, you'll play a pivotal role in launching one of the Strip’s most anticipated new dining destinations, helping define its culinary vision from the ground up. Leading a passionate team of culinary professionals, you'll bring bold ideas to life, set the standard for excellence, and create unforgettable experiences that captivate guests from the very first service. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including budget management, scheduling, inventory control, and team leadership. Execute menu strategies that drive profitability while aligning with Catch Group and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas' refined standards. Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards, fostering a pristine and efficient work environment. Lead, coach, and develop a dedicated culinary team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence. Work closely with the service team to deliver seamless, memorable dining experiences, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction. Support the Culinary Leadership in executing the property's food and beverage initiatives, policies, and training programs. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of culinary trends, menu offerings, and kitchen equipment. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 2 years of prior relevant experience working in a culinary environment as a Chef preferred Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant or previous experience in a luxury or fine-dining restaurant preferred THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally.
