Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver luxury facial, skincare, and beauty treatments according to Forbes 5-Star and brand standards.
- Customize each treatment based on guest needs, preferences, skin condition, and wellness goals.
- Present a polished and professional appearance at all times, embodying warmth, attentiveness, and discretion.
- Conduct detailed consultations, including skin analysis, contraindication checks, and treatment planning.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all spa services, treatment sequences, enhancements, and retail offerings.
- Uphold seamless, anticipatory service throughout the guest journey—arrival, consultation, treatment, post-care, and farewell.
- Ensure proper draping techniques, guest comfort, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Perform a full range of advanced facial services, including:
- Holistic facials
- Clinical/medical-grade facials (as allowed by property licensing)
- LED light therapy
- Microcurrent
- Exfoliation treatments (enzymatic, chemical, or mechanical—within scope)
- Hydration, oxygen, and custom system facials
- Maintain precision in protocols and timing while adapting to guest needs.
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and products before and after each service to 5-Star standards.
- Recommend appropriate home-care products and routines based on guest concerns and skin goals.
- Support retail revenue through informed, personalized, and pressure-free suggestions.
- Understand product ingredients, benefits, and contraindications—across luxury, holistic, and medical-grade lines.
- Participate in promotions, events, and guest education initiatives.
- Follow all state board requirements, sanitation laws, and hotel safety procedures.
- Ensure all supplies, products, and equipment are properly stored, labeled, and maintained.
- Identify and report any equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
- Participate in daily briefings, training, service rehearsals (LQA/Forbes), and product knowledge sessions.
- Maintain inventory par levels, assist with ordering, and monitor product usage.
- Support opening and closing spa procedures as required.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative atmosphere with colleagues across all spa and hotel departments.
- Uphold confidentiality and guest privacy at all times.
- Valid state Esthetician license.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a luxury spa, dermatology clinic, medi-spa, or 5-Star wellness environment.
- Advanced skincare knowledge, including luxury, holistic, clean-beauty, and clinical product lines.
- Experience with high-end skincare brands is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to connect with guests.
- Must be able to maintain professional composure in a high-end, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Commitment to ongoing education, training, and mastery of the craft.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift/move items up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Manual dexterity for precise facial treatment techniques and equipment handling.
