Key Responsibilities
- Administrative and Documentation Support
- Assist Project Manager with bid solicitation, subcontractor paperwork, and budget tracking.
- Process and track submittals and RFIs.
- Set up projects in construction management software (e.g., Procore).
- Maintain and distribute construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Financial and Contract Administration
- Help process and track contracts, change orders, and subcontracts.
- Gather and submit subcontractor/vendor paperwork (W9s, insurance certificates, etc.).
- Support communication with accounting regarding payments and invoices.
- Communication and Coordination
- Serve as a central point of contact for subcontractors and internal teams.
- Prepare and distribute weekly project updates.
- Assist with scheduling and organizing project meetings.
- Site and Field Support
- Provide support to Superintendents by addressing field-related inquiries.
- Assist with closeout processes, including punch lists and final documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-5 years in a construction-related role (project engineer, project assistant, or field support).
- Education: Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in construction management platforms such as Procore.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of construction processes, plans, and specifications.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: OSHA 10-hour required.
- Growth-Oriented: Highly motivated with the desire to advance into a Project Manager role.
