How You Will Make An Impact
- Conduct precise on-site surveys and dimensional measurements to evaluate spatial constraints and installation conditions for crane systems.
- Create complete manufacturing and assembly packages utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks to transform engineering direction into reality.
- Build parametric SolidWorks models and modular component libraries to optimize standard overhead and gantry crane product configurations.
- Interpret complex facility layouts, weld symbols, and geometric tolerances to ensure absolute compliance with design standards.
- Generate accurate bills of materials, cut lists, and detailed parts lists directly tied to standard product configurations.
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to deliver real-time drawing clarifications and field-related modifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional drafting experience utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Proven ability to read and interpret weld symbols, GD&T, facility layouts, and architectural site plans.
- Strong fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes and structural steel fabrication techniques.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to support local travel for site measurements.
- Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated independent work ethic with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in office and field settings.
- Prior drafting experience within the overhead crane, lifting equipment, or heavy machinery industries.
- Functional knowledge of structural steel design principles alongside AISC or CMAA standards and safety regulations.
- Experience building, organizing, or maintaining standard product drawing libraries and working within PDM/PLM systems.
- Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience.
