How You Will Make An Impact
- Diagnosed complex mechanical failures on diverse fleet vehicles to minimize operational downtime.
- Repaired advanced hydraulic systems and heavy-duty air brakes to ensure maximum field safety.
- Maintained accurate maintenance records and inspection logs for regulatory compliance and safety tracking.
- Coordinated with project managers to schedule preventive maintenance around critical steel erection timelines.
- Overhauled aging equipment components to extend asset life cycles and optimize operational efficiency.
- Executed real-time emergency field repairs to keep active structural steel installations moving forward.
- Proven professional experience working as a Diesel Mechanic on heavy equipment or commercial fleets.
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with complex hydraulic systems.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in repairing, diagnosing, and servicing heavy-duty air brake systems.
- Capability to interpret technical manuals, fluid schematics, and mechanical blueprints independently.
- Formal technical training or completion of an apprenticeship program focused on diesel mechanics.
- Previous experience maintaining machinery specifically used in structural steel or industrial construction.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior shop helpers or mechanics in safety practices.
- Competitive hourly wage of $35–$40 /hr.
