Summary: This position is responsible for the supervision of 4 to 6 mental health professionals. This includes supervision of client care, responsibility for team production and implementation of clinical & administrative policy. This position supervises and ensures that clinical services are in compliance with State and Federal regulations, funding source requirements agency policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to departmental staff on a daily basis.
- Monitor clients progress and ensure appropriateness for services, making assessments regarding treatment needs and level of care decisions.
- Effectively conduct staff meetings on a monthly basis.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical and administrative staff job performance on a weekly basis.
- Review staff program documentation; ensure all documentation and authorizations are requested; complete, accurate and processed in a timely manner.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field through review of literature and contacts with other professionals and organizations as needed.
- Responsible for the generation of new and/or revised programmatic policies and procedures.
- Utilize local resource networks for client referrals and to reinforce program continuity as needed.
- Participate in agency meetings and committees related to the operation of the program or department on a monthly basis.
- Participate in annual budget planning and development sessions; monitor program expenditures and production.
- Recommend and initiate staff training and development.
- Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, annual goals and objective reports as dictated by the program director
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 4 to 6 clinical mental health professionals. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees (CBT & PE); planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
A licensed mental health clinician, licensed professional counselors (LPC) or licensed clinical social workers (LCSW). If not licensed, must meet the requirements listed: a masters degree from an accredited university or college in a mental health discipline, such as psychology, counseling, clinical social work or marriage and family therapy. At least 1 to 2 years supervisor experience in mental health treatment background.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: LPC, LCSW and CPR certification
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
