Program Summary:
The Michael Perlin Center for Substance Abuse Intervention provides assessment and educational services to court-referred individuals who have been charged with DUI so they can increase their knowledge and improve decision making and avoid instances of driving under the influence in the future.
Position Summary:
The Pre-Trial Counselor position is responsible for providing direct client services for the Michael Perlin Center. This position is responsible for the implementation of psycho-educational groups as assigned. Conducts evaluations and discharge summary services. The eligible candidate for this position would work per diem, days and hours will vary. This is a fee for service position ($25 per evaluation and $65 per group).
Working within Adult Services, the Pre-Trial Counselor works on the Behavioral Health Treatment care team to support clients’ recovery from mental illness, substance use, and homelessness.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree and license eligible
- 1 year of clinical experience
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
