What You Will Do:
- In accordance with MSHA and Company policies/procedures, take a proactive role in prioritizing safety on the job for yourself and others.
- Operate off road heavy equipment in a surface mining environment, including haul trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, to mine and move material throughout the plant, and maintain haul roads in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre and post-operation inspections of equipment and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels, and adding correct fluids as necessary
- Monitor the plant and operations and report any unsafe behaviors, unsafe conditions, required maintenance, etc.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and project timelines met
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:
What You Will Need:
- Experience operating heavy mining equipment with the ability to safely and accurately/smoothly maneuver and complete various tasks, such as loading, dumping and transporting raw materials; maintaining haul roads.
- Ability to recognize, understand and adhere to safety regulations, policies and procedures
- 2 years operating heavy equipment in a surface mine or construction environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Physical ability to climb ladders, sit for extended periods and withstand vibrations
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
- Other duties as required/instructed
