Do you have a passion for contributing to the quality care of residents as a licensed CNA? Could your dedication and creativity be channeled through event planning and resident engagement in activities?
If so, we have great news for you! We are looking for a Weekends Activities Assistant!
An Activities Assistant would work directly with the full-time Activities Director. The ideal candidate for this job will appeal to residents from all backgrounds, providing an opportunity to celebrate individuality through expressive and creative activities.
Important: CNA Certification is required!
Responsibilities and Purpose
- Assist the Activities Director in designing and implementing a meaningful weekend activity schedule.
- Assess resident preferences for weekend activity opportunities, including opportunities for residents who cannot participate in group settings.
- Encourage intellectual and educational development through literature, lectures, movies, cultural events, and other activities available in the community.
- Complete assessments, monthly notes, activity charts, and other documentation as required/directed.
Required Experience and Education
- CNA Certification
- Basic computer skills (such as Microsoft Office)
Desired Experience and Traits
- Completion of Oklahoma certified activities training program
- 1 year of activities experience in a healthcare setting
- 1 year of work in skilled nursing, long term care, hospice, or LTAC
