This is an open ended application for Cafe positions at the Common Market at both locations. This application is for those that are interested in multiple positions in the Cafe or wants to start exploring options. If we are interested in moving forward to a phone pre screen, we will reach out. This covers positions we are actively seeking candidates for and passively seeking strong candidates.

Join our team at Common Market Café in Frederick, MD! We're looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to fill various roles in our café. Whether you love crafting the perfect cup of coffee, preparing fresh ingredients, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here.
Cafe Positions include but not limited to:
Café Service Associate – Provide friendly customer service, take orders, prepare drinks, and maintain a clean, welcoming café space. Barista or food service experience is a plus!
Dishwasher – Keep our kitchen running smoothly by cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while assisting with basic prep as needed.
Bakery Team Member – Help prepare fresh-baked goods, following recipes and ensuring high-quality production. Early morning availability preferred.
Cook – Prepare hot and cold menu items with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Maintain kitchen standards, follow recipes, and assist with inventory.
Prep Cook – Chop, portion, and prepare ingredients for daily menu items, ensuring efficiency in the kitchen. Great for those looking to build kitchen skills!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
· Greets all customers in the store with a positive, polite, and helpful attitude.
· Willingness to learn all facets of the store
· Ensure that all products are faced and fronted for easy availability and an attractive store appearance.
· Maintains sales floor cleanliness to ensure the free of debris and work areas are clean and uncluttered.
· Ensures back stock areas are organized and maintained in clean, safe and orderly condition.
· Assists with department maintenance: maintains displays, cases, work areas, shelf tags and sales signs, janitorial duties.
· Maintains good communications with co-workers and managers throughout the Co-op.
· Reads, completes, and updates assigned department task lists & logs each shift.
· Adheres to all required store, safety, and health department standards.
· Maintains COVID guidelines and assist in monitoring customers for compliance.
· Attends and participates in regular staff meetings and training.
· Stays knowledgeable about all Common Market promotions, ads and discount offers.
· Open availability for scheduling needs
· Other duties as assigned.
Salary : $17 - $24
