Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages with precision and flair, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Operate Toast POS system
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change with attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by performing regular cleaning duties, food handling, and food safety practices in accordance with health standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or concerns
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to beverage service and light food offerings while ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with café environments is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as cleaning and food preparation
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in beverage service, drink preparation, and retail sales transactions is desirable
