What This Role Is — and Is Not

  • A commercial, deal‑owning media procurement role with direct responsibility for $1B in North American media spend.
  • Focused on negotiating, structuring, and enforcing media agency and platform agreements.
  • Accountable for media economics: fees, incentives, transparency, performance guarantees, and value realization.
  • A hands‑on individual contributor role requiring personal leadership of sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier performance reviews.
  • A commercial counterweight to marketing, ensuring agency and platform partnerships deliver measurable business value.
  • Embedded in marketing but grounded in enterprise procurement rigor and financial accountability.

This Role Is Not

  • A media strategy, planning, or brand marketing role.
  • A consultative or advisory procurement role without direct deal ownership.
  • A role focused solely on stakeholder influence or governance.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have direct, hands‑on experience negotiating and managing media agency and platform contracts.
  • Experience: 10 years of business experience with deep knowledge of the North America media marketplace.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of media agencies, digital media, eCommerce, planning and optimization, tools, data, and measurement.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar portfolios, long-term business decisions, and global collaboration.
