What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator (Swing Reach & Cherry Picker) position at The Coastal Group?
We are currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators for a temp-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. Candidates must have recent hands-on experience operating both Swing Reach (Turret Truck) and Cherry Picker forklifts. Safety, accuracy, and productivity are essential in this role.
A valid Forklift Certification is REQUIRED.
Schedule
M - F, 7 AM - 4 PM, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Pay: $19/ Hr
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Swing Reach/Turret Truck forklifts safely and efficiently
- Operate Cherry Picker forklifts at elevated heights
- Pull, stage, move, and replenish inventory throughout the warehouse
- Accurately pick and scan orders using RF scanners or warehouse systems
- Load and unload materials while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
- MUST have recent experience operating both Swing Reach and Cherry Picker forklifts
- Valid Forklift Certification REQUIRED
- Minimum 1–2 years of forklift operating experience preferred
- Experience working in warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments
- Comfortable working at elevated heights
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
