Facilities Manager
Position Summary:
Northeast Ohio area club seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the care, presentation, and performance of all club facilities and grounds. This individual will play a key leadership role in maintaining the club’s standards of excellence, ensuring an exceptional environment that reflects the expectations of a premier private club. The Facilities Manager will be a proactive steward of the property, balancing hands-on execution with strategic oversight of maintenance operations, capital improvements, and long-term asset preservation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive oversight of all physical assets, including clubhouse, tennis facilities, aquatics, fitness areas, swimming pool, and landscaped grounds
- Establish and execute a best-in-class preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal performance and longevity of all systems and equipment
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across all areas of the club
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, fostering a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and pride in workmanship
- Partner with senior leadership on capital planning, renovations, and continuous facility enhancements
- Oversee and coordinate trusted vendors and contractors, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with club standards
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and operational best practices
- Maintain aquatics systems and water quality to meet or exceed health and safety standards (where applicable)
- Manage departmental budgets, purchasing, and inventory with a focus on efficiency and long-term value
- Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance needs and unforeseen issues, maintaining a seamless member experience
- Support club programming and events through thoughtful facility preparation and execution
Qualifications:
- 5 years of proactive and progressive facilities or property management experience, preferably within a private club, hospitality, or luxury environment
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general construction
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage teams and external partners
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and execute both daily operations and long-term projects
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to service excellence
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including seasonal conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb as required

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
